PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE BEGINNING INSTALLATION

1.         Starting on the drivers’ side, measure 14” from the tip of the deck lid where it meets the rear window.  Mark with a grease pencil.  Repeat procedure on other side.  See Diagram below.

2.         Place the Sportwing® on the marks made in Step #1, so that as you face the rear of the car, the front edge of the Sportwing® rests on these marks.  Next, center the Sportwing® from left to right.  Outline both mounting feet with a grease pencil.

3.         Remove the Sportwing® and position the template, provided, on the drivers’ side outline made in Step #2.  Using a 5/32” drill bit, drill down through the spots indicated for your mounting holes (NOTE: you will need to drill through the second panel when drilling your mounting holes, but be careful not to drill into the rain channel).  Flip template over and repeat procedure on other side.

4.         Open the trunk and using a 5/8” hole saw, open the mounting holes in the secondary panel to give you access for your socket wrench later. Repeat procedure on other side.

5.         Close the trunk and remove the paper liner from the bottom of the mounting feet and place the Sportwing on the outline marks made in Step #2.  Press firmly into place.

6.         Open the trunk and switch back to a 5/32” drill bit and drill up into the bottom of the mounting feet using the pilot holes drilled in Step #3 (NOTE: when drilling, you must use a drill stopper to prevent from drilling through the top of the Sportwing®).  Install mounting screws with lock washers and tighten firmly.  DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN.  Repeat procedure on other side.  Place the black hole caps, provided, over your socket wrench access holes when finished.

7.         Clean up any metal shavings that may have fallen into the trunk.  If you have any questions, problems or if you would like information about other quality Sportwing products, please call the TOLL FREE number at the top of this sheet.  Thank you for choosing Dawn Enterprises Inc.
